1. Restrictions - since I have students that use my iPad, it is nice to see how to quickly and easily set up restrictions. This prevents students from accessing personal emails or even taking pictures. I like that it could be used to protect confidential information, while still giving me the freedoms to trust a student.
2. Notifications - when I add an app, it always asks if it can send me push button notifications. Sometimes I like that, and sometimes I don't. It's helpful for me to be able to turn some of those off, while keeping others. Also, being able to add notifications to the screens can help me keep my iPad updated regularly.
3. Button on side - during this year, my side button muted my iPad, and i was frustrated because sometimes I couldn't listen to videos. It ended up getting turned back on, so I never had a problem, but after watching this tips video, I understand now how to change it from mute to screen lock or vice versa.
4. Multitasking - I love some of these 4-5 finger swipes and motions. It makes it easier to toggle back and forth and navigate. I will definitely be using these shortcuts more often.
5. Folder - my iPad is getting quite full, and I really like the idea of organizing some items into folders. This will help me to tell students where they can go, and also keep my personal things separated. I am also going to create a school folder where I have links to my school email and skyward. Since it at kale attendance and use my email regularly this folder will be great for shortcuts.
One that was not mentioned, but it find really great, is when you have a picture and press the send button, it automatically opens an email or message to send the picture. This has been great to stay connected with family.
